Our Pastors

Our Pastors

Apostle Michael Metts grew up in Lincoln Heights, Ohio in the home of ministers. His parents, Robert Sr. and Marie Metts, founded Revelation Church of God in Lincoln Heights. Under that influence, he accepted Christ as his Savior in 1983 at the age of 19 and began a firm biblical foundation in the Word of God.

Apostle Metts attended Community Bible College and in 1985, he accepted the call to minister the gospel and was ordained in Revelation Church of God. His ministry was instrumental in converting many young people, especially African-American males to Christ. He founded several faith-based community organizations, including Young David’s for Christ, an organization designed to reach youth and groom them for Christian service through bible studies, rap sessions and community service. He also founded Set Me Free Drug Ministry, an outreach committed to the rehabilitation of the chemically dependent.

In 1995, Apostle Metts was ordained Senior Pastor of Revelation Church of God. In 1997, under his pastorate, God changed the name of the ministry to Thy Kingdom Come Ministries. It was at this time that the ministry relocated to the Roselawn area of Cincinnati, Ohio. After the relocation, Apostle Metts’ love for the community became evident. He has led multiple prayer marches through the streets of Roselawn and encourages his congregation to go out and minister to the people in the local community.

In 2005, Apostle Metts was consecrated as an Apostle at Thy Kingdom Come Ministries.

A firm believer in the Great Commission, he is also a member of the Board of Directors of Son Rise Global Ministries, Inc., an organization headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio that spreads the gospel across the nation as well as to the continents of Africa and South America.

Apostle Metts has been happily married for 36 years to Prophet Lisa, his co-laborer in the ministry. They are the proud parents of 2 daughters: Alyssa (Brian) and Alexis.

Prophet Lisa Metts had early encounters with the Holy Spirit, visions of angels and a desire to pray which foreshadowed her prophetic calling. With a miraculous impartation of the Spirit, Lisa began playing the piano by ear at 7 years old. At 9 years old, she preached her very first sermon entitled “None of These Things Move Me” out of Acts 20:24. As the chief musician for late Pastor Williams, Lisa traveled the country extensively. Though timid, Lisa was inquisitive and would ask her mom questions about church culture prompting her to learn the importance of developing a personal relationship with God versus mere religion. Lisa read and studied her Bible daily. What started as an hour minimum eventually grew to 4 to 5 hours along with her coursework at Walnut Hills High School where she graduated.

In 1987, Lisa married Michael Metts and in 1995 the two were officially ordained and installed as Pastors of Revelation Church of God, now Thy Kingdom Come Ministries. Along with training and developing musicians, Lisa established an impressive musical resume which listed countless conferences, tent revivals, community outreaches, school programs, hospitals, funerals and many more. Under the tutelage of her husband, Lisa was thrust into learning her purpose beyond worship leader. She helped write policies and procedures for the church, served as an intercessor and teacher.
